Nicholas de Castella

Australia's Heart Intelligence Pioneer and Master

Nicholas de Castella is highly regarded for his ability to offer a unique way for people to release struggle, loneliness and suffering and create connection, aliveness and enjoyment of life.

Nicholas comes from a pioneering tradition in excellence and the fine art of living. His Great Grandfather, Hubert de Castella, came out to Australia in 1860, from Switzerland, to produce wine in the Yarra Valley. His wine won the Emperors prize at the International Exhibition in Paris for the most outstanding exhibit.

Originally trained as an Architect, for the last 20 years Nicholas has been teaching Life Skills. He has taught across Australia, in New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa and England.

In his youth he trained at the Australian Institute of Sport, running up to 220 km per week. He ran 2 hours 15 minutes for the marathon and represented Australia four times in World Cross Country Championships.

In 1985 he was involved in a tragic car accident, which led to chronic fatigue. Looking for a better way lead him on a quest. In 1988 he attended a seminar by Paul Blackburn on accessing 'subconscious mind power'. He learnt to heal his body, release struggle and started to run faster than ever - on less training. What was a curse has turned out to be a blessing as his struggle lead him to discover ways to not only heal but to make the very best of his life.

For the last 10 years he has been hosted by Dr Jo Horwood of Horsham, to teach country folk in the Wimmerra to manage stress and anxiety, heal and enrich their lives.

Nicholas is author of 'Keys To Emotional Mastery', Founding President of the Australian Breathworks Association, Director of the Institute of Heart Intelligence and an accredited Trainer with the Australian Breathwork Association.

He conducts private sessions, Passionately Alive Seminars, Men's weekends, Relationship Seminars and Breathwork Practitioner Trainings.

For the last 4 years Nicholas has been on a committee which has gained government certification for Breathwork Trainings at Certificate III, IV and Diploma levels.

Nicholas' work is highly respected. He has been a keynote presenter at the Conferences of: Farm Management 500, Landcare, The Whole Health Institute and The Australasian Integrative Medicine Association.

Today he is happy to be 'on the right track' assisting people to enrich their lives. He and his wife, Susan, are enjoying the challenges of parenting their two sons Charles (8 years old) and Alexander (6 years-old).
