Residentials

  • What is a Residential?

A residential, is Beyond Success speak for a seminar which is fully "life in" at Paul & Mary Blackburn's purpose built conference centre located on 250 acres of typical Australian bushland.

Usually 3 to 4 days in length, these powerful workshops take advantage of the fact that participants are living and working together whilst learning about themselves. Normal start time is 7am when attendees gather for the morning walk and the seminar proper beings shortly after, continuing until approximately 10pm. These big days (punctuated by mealtimes and experiential learning opportunities) provide an awesome opportunity for deep emotional healing of long standing issues.

Run 5 to 6 time a year, the subjects vary widely.

Each of the seminar contents can be viewed at Residential Workshops

Blockage Busters

  • What is Blockage Busters

Originally conceived as a "personal development in your inbox" project, Blockage Busters has developed into a fully fledged personal development program from an ingenious website. Modern software has made it possible for us to deliver personalised self help lessons on a weekly basis to those who are unable to attend workshops and seminars.

Each lesson comes with video from our chief instructor Paul Blackburn, explaining the ideas behind and nature of each sequenced session. At ridiculously low prices, it is now possible to give specific lessons by remote control - with all of the impact normally associated with a live in workshop.

Blockage Busters is more than just a technical revolution though.

Because Beyond Success has been a leader in the personal coaching field for over 10 years, we have been able to extensively measure and test the effectiveness of our programs.

What that means for the average person undertaking a Blockage Buster program of Home Study classes is that they are participating in a sequenced series of lessons that have proven themselves over a ten year period to produce repeated results.

    So - That's it.

    Lessons delivered to the inbox

No classes, seminars, time off work, travel or exposure to others.

Pure and simple self help administered by... self - with a bloody good system backing it up!

  • Why Undertake Blockage Busters

The extraordinary Blockage Busters Program enables people who choose to invest in it to:

    • avoid traveling to seminars and workshops.
    • study at their own pace.
    • undertake lessons at any time.
    • learn in any environment they choose.
    • develop their own strategy for personal growth.
    • grow in their own way using guided learning.
    • save lots of money.
    • communicate via chat and tele-classes with others on the same journey.
    • access a website chock full of resources.
    • listen to audios of others on the same path.
    • hear/read success stories and interviews with those who have used the technique.

    And MUCH MUCH more.

The Mental Toolbox

  • What Is In The Mental Toolbox

The Mental Toolbox was first conceived, designed and taught by Paul & Mary Blackburn as a response to the obvious need for a personal development program that taught regular people how to tap into and use their own potential. Run by Beyond Success since 1984, the course teaches that which should perhaps be taught in schools but is sadly neglected.

Specific subjects covered in the program include the psychology of achievement, goal setting and reaching, mental rehearsal, self esteem raising, habit change, emotional intelligence, communication, self sabotage eradication, health, meditation techniques and more.

Perhaps an overview such as, the only limitation of the human mind is that it was issued without an instruction manual would give a good general description - the Mental Toolbox seeks to be that set of guidelines that would help every person use their mind more effectively. The end result being that each Mental Toolbox participant becomes skilled in a range of processes and techniques that enable them to reach their personal goals in life - whatever they may be.

All we really need is someone to show us how to make our brain work like the goal achieving mechanism that it actually is.

That demonstration is a 2 day and one evening workshop called The Mental Toolbox.

  • Why Beyond Success?

Paul & Mary say, "The name means a lot to us personally. We were both taught as children that happiness would be the consequence of becoming successful and that we would live great lives if we would just study hard, get good marks, go to college or university, graduate and get good jobs. Good meant well paying and secure because the generation before us had endured extended poverty. To them, any job was better than no job because they had lived through times where one wage earner might support 3 families. We were encouraged to get government jobs and when we became school teachers our parents celebrated because we were made for life.

It didn't take long for us to obtain the financial standing that our parents had worked all their lives to gain. Ten years as in a job we were both suited for realised cars, houses, holidays - the lot.

    Except happiness

Like most of our generation we found ourselves wondering what was missing.

    There were heaps of positives

    But there was something missing

As we grew in stature within the personal development industry we realised that we needed more than personal success.

We needed to do something that made the world a better place - so we hit upon a three pronged approach.

Firstly after 12 years of marriage we decided that we wanted to have children. We wanted to bring a couple of humans into the world who would have the benefits of learning our success systems from day one - and then use that knowledge to do good in the world. It was basically a matter of asking ourselves where we would have ended up in life if we knew then (early in life) what we knew now. We also knew kids would be more than a great learning experience - they would be another avenue for us to express love - a concept we were eager to explore.

Secondly we wanted to teach success principles that enabled people to get what they thought they wanted in life, so that they could discover what was really important to them.

Thirdly, we wanted to build a business that embodied our values. We believe that walking our talk is one of the highest demonstrations of success there is - so we built a transparent business in which we have shunned the guru opportunities in exchange for deep enduring relationships that nurture our people and us.

    In short we say...

You'll have to go a long way past success to find happiness."

  • Who Should Attend A Mental Toolbox?

Whilst attendees vary from 12 to 85 years of age from all walks of life there are some prerequisites. You should carefully consider the following:

Those who claim the greatest benefit from the Mental Toolbox course are generally those who expected the most. Odd as it may seem, because the program addresses general life skills, benefits are gained in all areas of life. For example, the ability to remain cool calm and collected (relaxation & meditation skills) affects work, relationships, health, happiness and many more key areas in an individuals life.

Participation increases results and satisfaction. Turning up ready to get involved in the activities, processes and lessons is a key element of success.

Deciding beforehand that the workshop will deliver measurable increases in personal performance is also an indicator of early success.

This course is definitely only for people of sound mind. Beyond Success recommends that clinical conditions be addressed by a registered professional.

  • Specifically, What Is Taught In The Mental Toolbox

The overall strategy of the Mental Toolbox is to enable attendees to achieve 3 purposes whilst at the workshop.

The first segment (Friday evening) is called Discovery and focuses on helping the student to identify exactly what blockages to success are lingering undetected in their subconscious. In this part of the program there is also a portion of time devoted to educating the student in brain function theory, so that they are better able to understand their own motivations and actions.

The second segment (Saturday) is called Eradication and is delivered in such a way that attendees can both understand and actually perform personal change. Each student is encouraged to form their own definition of life success and provided with the tools for generating the results in life they desire.

Sunday is devoted to Transformation. The lessons and activities are all designed to allow students to actually become the person of their dreams. This day is generally described by attendees as the pinnacle Mental Toolbox experience, combining the previous day and a half's efforts into a transformational experience.

More specifically, students will learn about the mechanisms of brain/mind function, enabling them to understand and change their typical results in life for more consistently positive ones. They will also gain deep insight into the various roles of goal setting, mental rehearsal (sometimes called creative visualisation) and self esteem in generating life's results. Subject areas covered on the program include, health & fitness, mental agility, goal realisation, communication, meditation/relaxation, habit change, blockage identification & removal, emotional healing and handling adversity.
